The Return Of ‘ Chashme Buddoor ’?

Continuing with the current trend of remakes, it seems Sai Paranjpye’s comedy ‘Chashme Buddoor’ may be the next in line. Sanjay Gupta has supposedly approached Rohan Shetty to direct the film for his White Feather Films, in association with soap-queen Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. Though Rohan does claim that he has been offered the project, he says he hasn’t yet confirmed it, as he still has Golmaal’s sequel lined up, as well as another untitled project with Nana Patekar and Shahid Kapoor. Rumour has it that Shahid Kapur, Tusshar Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh will portray the characters immortalised by Farooque Sheikh, Ravi Baswani and Rakesh Bedi, and that Kareena Kapoor has been offered Deepti Naval’s part.
