Sonu Nigam, the electrifying Indian singer, who has achieved iconic status in the Indian musical firmament, will be here to lend a special musical spice to Muscat Festival 2007. Sonu, who is known to be a great entertainer on stage, will be here as part of the Bollywood Show, organised by Gazelle International, at the Muscat Festival, an annual event that brings great entertainment to the city of Muscat. And if Sonu wasn’t enough, adding more glamour and glitz to the event, will be the princess of the Bollywood big screen — Kareena Kapoor. Both will simmer at this top show, which will be held at City Amphitheatre on January 11. Muscat Festival 2007, which began yesterday, will run until February 2, for 33 days. “Yes, we are back this year to bring a sparkle to this exciting fete,” noted Amit Sampat, director, Gazelle International. Dubbed as the classic ice maiden, Kareena, who is known to be averse to elaborate make-up and hairdo, and who always insists on simplicity, will lend a special shine to what promises to be an exciting event. “This blend of an iconic singer and a Bollywood cine princess will unite to spark forth an evening of energy and set the stage on fire,” said Yesha Kanabar, business development manager, Gazelle International.
