This time, it’s for an ad for a popular brand of paints. “How does it matter if it’s three hours or three minutes? I’m as excited about this ad as I was when I did Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham with him four years ago.” Youth connect A maelstrom of memories floods Kareena. “I was treated like a princess on the sets of K3G. I want the same kind of treatment when we shoot for the ad in January,” enthuses the actress, who’s looking forward to watching boyfriend Shahid Kapoor dance with Nelly Furtado at the Nokia New Year’s Eve bash at the Andheri Sports Complex. Treat me like a princess again: Kareena Kapoor Says Kareena, “Things couldn’t get better for both of us. Shahid had Vivah in 2006 and I had Omkara. My coming year starts with one of my favourite directors (Karan) and ends with another favourite, Mani Ratnam.” So why is the actress endorsing a paints brand? “Because I like colours. I associate colours with youth and I think I connect best with young audiences. Karan will be able to bring out the most vibrant side to my personality in that short film. I’m as excited about it as I’d be about anyfeature film. I’ve realised Karan and I are inseparable.” So what’s next, a feature film with Karan, maybe? “Wait and watch! There will be plenty of surprises from me in 2007,” says Kareena, signing off.
